I have been focusing recently on employment-based and family-based visa cases. I also write appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as Requests for Evidence for visa cases.
I have been practicing law since 1992, when I was admitted to practice in Washington State. I am currently admitted to the California bar, the District Court for the Central District of California and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. I am the incoming Vice-President of the International Law Section of the Federal Bar Association, and will be speaking at the annual convention on the intersection of international law and federal law.
I received my J.D. from the Boston University School of Law and a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts. I have an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan and an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
I am a member of SAG-AFTRA and perform improvisational comedy.
